Titleist AP2 Forged 710 Golf Club Review

Titleist AP2 Forged 710 is for rent @ CesarsGolfRentals.com
Titleist has been known for the quality of “performance helper” club sets they made available for the demanding players in the golf market. Their sets are listed among the in demand list of club offerings, along with Bridgestone’s and Cleveland Golf’s. With the introduction of AP2 Forged 710, we are once again pampered by this popular golf club brand. If you enjoyed your original Advance Performance irons and helped you with the different golf tournaments you've been through, there is no reason for you to not find the same enjoyment with this upgrade version.

Interesting Features

Feature-wise, there are several reasons why you will find satisfaction using Titleist’s upgrade of the AP irons, the AP2 Forged 710. First, the cavity is equipped with aluminum plate and a co-molded medallion of soft elastomer – two of the many vital club components added to help eliminate the lower sound frequencies that are, among other things, producing the bad feel. Its stainless-looking finish is definitely attractive. It’s a well-engineered metal work packed with power and feel like no other.

Power in Design

Talking about stability, Titleist AP2 Forged 710 features a dual-cavity design which pushes heaviness to the outer layer of the forged, multimaterial clubhead. Adding to its gorgeous look, these irons are all set and ready to offer you the sought-after sound, feel, impact and workability with its Tuned Feel System. If you always find yourself hitting too much of the turf, using AP2 Forged 710 gives you that flawless interaction. In fact, I found these clubs to be the smoothest, feel-optimized, I have tried.

Quality and Feel

Golfers can expect that the quality of these clubs is set to the maximum as Titleist built them with the high technology design and around the favorable outcome of the first Advance Performance irons, which was offered after the findings that golfers want performance with great feel. Thus, the AP2 Forged 710 irons were introduced by Titleist carrying the same mission: “Advanced Performance You Can Feel.” Having done an independent test, I can attest that this mission has been carried out gracefully.

Club Level

It’s definitely a collection of irons set to conquer another level. Titleist just made another groundbreaking introduction of its lines of Advanced Performance irons. The appeal factor is there. It is a high performing piece of well-engineered equipment packed with a very agreeable feel. Expected ball flight and forgiveness are guaranteed by the dual cavity engineering the clubs are built with.

Verdict

With the AP2 Forged 710 irons, a softer and more solid feel is achieved, making them a very good upgrade from the original Advance Performance irons. But like any other golf clubs I've reviewed, it comes with a slight disadvantage. For a model that’s already been around for some years, the expensive price tag might raise your eyebrows. Now, the question is, are you willing to pay more dollars for the performance and feel this in demand Titleist golf club model can offer? I suggest you give it a test before you buy. You can simply rent this set for an exhaustive test from a golf club service near you. Or, if you are in/around South Florida, Titleist AP2 Forged 710 is available for rent at Cesar’s Golf Shop and Rentals.
